Camping in Lake District

Six of us residing in different parts of UK join in at different points and drive our way towards the campsite in Lake District on a beautiful sunny weekend. Kunal, Paritosh, Deepak, Ajay, Jitin and myself being the protagonists.

The boys get into the act of setting up the tents. One large tent for four people and two small tents set-up.

As we settle in we get a view of the gorgeous lake as we approach dusk.

We move to the lake side and set-up the barbecue. The marinated chicken and other stuff come out along with the beer and other forms of alcohol and we have a party by the lake side.

The next morning after enjoying some gorgeous lake-side views we drive down to Coniston town. The information centre provides us the details about possible activities that can be enjoyed in the lake.

We now drive down to the lake, enjoy a breakfast and get ready for some Kayaking.

The boys get ready to kayak – six of us on three kayaks.

We enjoy some gorgeous views of the shimmering blue water on a beautiful, sunny day.

Post the kayaking, we move to Coniston town and settle in one of the pubs for a sumptuous lunch. An extra incentive was to watch the France Vs Argentina World Cup second round game. And what a game it turns out to be. Mbappe, a star is born as France pull off a pulsating game 4-3.

A couple of our adventurous mates Kunal and Deepak go off on a trek while we just hand around in the town of Coniston. Soon  we are on the way to pick them up from a designated place in the hills where they are somewhat lost.
